English for Work Place Preparation

CET Vancouver offers an English program for those students choosing a work placement. This English language program will allow students to later practice it in “real situations”. Through our English for Work Place Preparation students improve their confidence and 
language skills in work related activities before they go out in the workplace. The English language program has a focus on soft skills development such as: English for cover letter and resume writing, English for Interviewing, networking, and customer service.

Course Name: English for the Workplace Preparation
Duration: 8 hours/ 1 week course Monday to Thursday 1:00-3:00p.m.
Level: Intermediate and Above
Overview: English for the Workplace Preparation is a one week course designed for students to learn the English skills necessary for a job placement in Canada. Students will create resumes and cover letters with practical business language. They will also have the opportunity to practice job interviews and learn about Canadian business etiquette. It is a hands-on course that will prepare students going into the job placement program through CET Vancouver.
