THE PLACEMENT PROCESS

The placement process follows the same procedure for each program. It entails five steps.

First Meeting

We conduct the first meeting at least 6 weeks before the student needs to start his internship. During it, we will explain the placement process to the student, understand the student’s expectations and explain the requirements needed to qualify for the work experience.

Second Meeting

We go over the internship positions available. Additionally, we will begin working with them on preparing resumes focused on the industry they are entering, meeting the specific requirements and standards.  Students will be provided with an interview guide.  Students will agree and sign the refund policy at this point.

Third Meeting

We have a customized interview preparation session that we conduct for each student individually. These interview sessions tend to focus more on professional level; this meeting lasts from 30 minutes to one hour.

Job/ Internship Search

We involve students in the job or internship search. We conduct the entire search ourselves but we often contact students with a short list of potential companies to see which they are interested in. We may do this several times until we agree on a suitable company. The search may take up to 6 weeks.

Host Company Interview

The conclusion of our job/internship search is an interview. When the interview is arranged, we will provide a handout with more information on the company, the internship, the location, directions, and the name of the interviewer.  We will attempt to notify the student of the interview at least 1 week in advance. However, in some cases, a host company may request an interview on extremely short notice, as little as one day in advance. It is important that the student be flexible and able to attend these interviews. In the rare occasion that a student fails an interview, we will arrange a new interview, as many as 3 times. If they fail an interview more than 3 times, we recommend that students return to study.
